In the summer of [8.03 x 10^60 + 3.51 x 10^52] U.F.C. (Universal Frame Calendar), the Antarctic Empire suddenly emerged from seclusion onto the world map. While the other territories of the outside world continued research into ballistics and arms, the Antarctic Empire had managed to recover the lost technology of the ancient times.
Dismissed previously as “magic without logical basis”, Antarctic researchers managed to find the inner workings of these magic, and found uses for them.
However, even though they have the technology, the Antarctic researchers were still unable to use them without the help of mechanical devices. The pocketwatch-shaped catalysts developed for using magic, named the DialDisc, were cumbersome and hard to use, making magic usage inefficient. Researchers have toiled to find a way to summon magic without the DialDisc, but to no avail.
“To find the solution, you must use the techniques of old again..”

“Greetings, we are from the Magic Research Institute.”
At the highest point of the Antarctica territory, there was this gargantuan temple built with large pieces of stone. That day, two men in robes paid a visit.
“We are here for the acquisition of the stone starchart.”
A young child, with red hair and similarly robed, walked out from behind a huge chunk of rock.
“You won’t want to do that,” he said, “that artifact has been in this place for a long time, for sealing purposes.”
One of the two men gritted his teeth. The other thought of an excuse. “But, our supervisors-”
“Look,” the child said, “nobody is even allowed to go near that chart, except in constellation events.”
Soon after, there was a struggle, and the stone starchart seem to have been removed from the location. Red stains were also left across the floor.
